Arsenal make a welcome return to the top table of European football when they once again compete in the Champions League this week.

For the first time since 2017, the Gunners will be hosting the continent's top pan-European competition, when Mikel Arteta’s side face PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday evening in the capital.

After spending big in the summer, the North London giants are back in the big time, competing in the top tier of continental football - as well as attempting keep pace with leaders Manchester City in the Premier League - as loyal supporters welcome back the famous music to the Emirates in 24 hours.

Gabriel Martinelli is doubtful for the clash after being replaced in the first half during Arsenal's excellent 1-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park at the weekend, while Thomas Partey is still not fit after a recent groin injury.

Mohamed Elneny and Jurrien Timber are long-term absentees.

PSV's Noa Lang is a doubt after coming off injured against NEC. Hirving Lozano could make his second debut for the Dutch side.

Arsenal's tormentor at the Phillips Stadion during the Gunners dispirting 2-0 Europa League defeat at the hands of PSV last season, Luuk de Jong will lead the line, with Armel Bella-Kotchap in contention to start as defensive options.
