Newcastle United have signed up renowned scout Edward Black from Arsenal to bolster their recruitment team, leaving Edu with an extra task - to replace the highly-rated academy expert.
Black had been with the Emirates outfit since May 2022, arriving from Norwich City to become the North Londoners' Northern England and Scotland emerging talent scout.
However, highly-regarded Black took to social media to confirm he is heading to the North East, while thanking Arsenal and wishing them all the best.
Writing on Twitter (below), Black said: "I'd like to share that I'm starting my new position of Professional Lead Academy Scout @NUFC Football Club.
"I would like to thank everyone at @Arsenal it was a pleasure working at such a great club. Excited to be working for the club I support and being part of the project."

The move has seen Newcastle hand Arsenal sporting director Edu an extra task - with the former Invincible and his recruitment team now being required to identify a replacement.
The club hope for a new arrival to be in place as soon as possible, prior to what is expected to be an extremely busy summer transfer window for Mikel Arteta, as he looks to bolster his charges for a tilt at the Champions League.
