Arsenal midfielder Frida Maanum is undergoing tests and assessments after she collapsed during Sunday’s Conti Cup final.

Maanum has remained at Arsenal, who will communicate with her national team, Norway, about the results of the tests.

Norway manager Gemma Grainger has said she hopes to make a decision tonight (Tuesday, April 2) on whether Maanum will join up with her country for the international break.

Maanum’s mother, Liz-Heidi Leonhardsen, told Norwegian outlet NRK: “Frida will take more tests today. There is nothing to indicate that there is something seriously wrong.”

The 24-year-old collapsed off the ball in the closing stages of normal time during Arsenal’s game against Chelsea at Molineux, and was stretchered off the pitch whilst being administered oxygen.

At the start of extra time in Arsenal’s eventual 1-0 win, the club confirmed that Maanum was stable and conscious.

They have since said that she did not lose consciousness after collapsing, and BBC Sport reported that Maanum travelled back from the game with her team-mates rather than going to hospital.

Arsenal striker Stina Blackstenius, who scored the winning goal in the final, and Maanum's international teammate Guro Reiten, both revealed that Maanum replied to their messages shortly after the game to say that she was alright.
