Furious Arsenal boss Arteta slams VAR as 'absolute disgrace'

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has been left as furious as anyone has ever seen him following VAR's 'embarrassing' decision to allow Newcastle's winner. PICTURE: A visibly angry Arteta shares his thoughts after the match.


A visibly furious Mikel Arteta has blasted VAR as an 'absolute disgrace' after those running the technology controverisally allowed Newcastle's winner. 

Anthony Gordon's 64th minute goal was allowed to stand, despite the ball appearing to cross the goalline in the build-up.

To the North Londoners fury there were also doubts about whether there was a foul on defender Gabriel prior to the former Everton attacker bundling the ball over the line.

Speaking after the match, an incandescent Arteta slammed VAR, saying: "It's an absolute disgrace," adding the decison was 'embarrassing."
