Revenge, they claim is a dish best served cold.

But that is the sort of piffle promoted by the pious.

I like my vengeance delivered vindaloo hot.

Gabriel Jesus’ rapier-like thrust to deliver the coup de grace was a thing of beauty.

Shame hundreds of Arsenal fans had to wait until Match of the Day Two to find out what happened after sneaking out with minutes to go while VAR deliberated United’s ‘winner’.

It has taken a while, but our new home is starting to feel like the place where we truly belong.

Declan Rice will never forget his first goal for Arsenal. Those supporters who kept faith with the team were rightly rewarded with the most pleasing of victories.

Imagine Alex Ferguson’s brain with three minutes to go watching United’s winner. Michael Oliver was happy, until he was overturned by VAR for a second time that afternoon.

There is something special happening.

Have no doubt about it, those were three well-deserved points.

An earlier version of this team would have folded under the pressure.

Martin Odegaard is this young team’s leader, but he has a full complement of NCOs. A ferocious gang of terriers who refuse to retreat and remain a threat during this new 100-minute game.

Now, it’s time for prayer.
