Arsenal hero Kai Havertz has been speaking after his late winner sealed a vital victory that propelled his team back to the top of the Premier League for the first time since December.
Havertz's last-gaps header earned his Gunners side three important points in the three way title race, as Mikel Arteta's side leapfrogged Liverpool and Manchester City to the top of the table - ahead of the pair's clash on Sunday afternoon.
Declan Rice had given the Gunners the lead with a 19th minute goal, before Aaron Ramsdale - in what could be his last game for the club - made an error when attempting to clear the ball, whcih saw Yoanne Wissa block his clearance as the ball ended in the back of the net.
Thankfully, Havertz's late goal spared Ramsdale's blushes as Arsenal march on with their eight league win on the bounce since returning from ther midwinter break in Dubai.
"Massive, massive win for us," said Havertz, speaking after the match, adding: "We were so desperate to get these three points. They were so important to us. You could see that, especially in second half.
"We came in at half-time and wanted to turn it around. We didn't play at our best in the first half but to win it that way is sometimes even better.
"It always feel nice to have three points in the bag but, to be honest, we talked a lot about it in the dressing room and we just try to focus on ourselves because we cannot change what the other teams are doing.
"Now we go onto the next competition. We look forward to that and I hope it's going to be another special night for us."
