The Conti Cup always produces quirky stories, and just now I spotted Gunnersaurus taking a picture with... Olaf from Frozen, who appears to be an Aston Villa fan.
Arsenal beat Aston Villa 3-0 in the quarter-finals of last year's Conti Cup, with Frida Maanum scoring a brace. The Norway international starts for the Gunners tonight.
Villa ended 2022/23 with a 2-0 win here at Meadow Park to seal 5th place in the WSL, but Carla Ward's side have been unable to make any further progress this season. The Villans are 8th in the current table.
