Full time: Arsenal 6-0 Rangers!
90' Goal! Caitlin Foord has her fourth! Kafaji's powerful shot is palmed into her path and she can't miss. 6-0
90' The attendance at a sold-out Meadow Park is 3,487. 5-0
88' Kuhl comes on for Caldentey, who has had a superb debut. 5-0
86' Goal! Little smashes the spot-kick into the top corner! 5-0
86' Little will now take... 4-0
85' Arsenal win a penalty! McCabe is tripped in the box and Foord, who already has a hat-trick, will take it. 4-0
84' Rangers have barely had a moment on the ball in this second half, outworked and outplayed by the home side. It has been one way traffic throughout. 4-0
79' Arsenal are relentless and Blackstenius heads wide from Caldentey's powerful cross. Fox and Cooney-Cross are then withdrawn for Wienroither and Walti. 4-0
73' Blackstenius gets a shot away on the turn and it's saved down low by Esson. 4-0
71' And during the celebrations, Kafaji and Blackstenius come on for Maanum and Russo. Kafaji's competitive debut. 4-0
70' Goal! Foord completes her hat-trick with another fine finish and it's 4-0
67' Howard and Rafferty are replaced by Lafaix and Middag. 3-0
67' Lovely looping cross from Maanum and Russo stoops to elevate her header, but it's claimed in the air by Esson. 3-0
64' McCabe's free-kick is swung in from the right and headed over by Williamson. 3-0
62' Goals like that are a journalist's worst nightmare but a dream for these Arsenal fans, who will surely be back here on Sunday evening for the mini-tournament final. 3-0
60' Goal! Oh my word that didn’t take long. Barely seconds after Arsenal made it 2-0, Alessia Russo belts the ball past Esson and this game is surely out of Rangers’ hands now. 3-0
59' Goal! Caitlin Foord nets her and Arsenal’s second, sweeping the ball into the far corner via a tough from the goalkeeper. Great buildup play from Arsenal and Foord is there to make it 2-0
57' Caldentey and Foord have swapped wings and the former swings in a cross from the right but nobody is there to meet it. 1-0
53' Russo does really well to keep the ball and find Maanum in the box but she loses her concentration and plays a ball into a Rangers defender. Moments later, Little shoots wide off a deflection. 1-0
51' Caldentey is really up for this. She takes a quick free-kick and Foord gets onto it but shoots wide. 1-0
50' Excellent cross from Williamson and Maanum can't find the target on the volley. 1-0
48' McCauley has been on for a couple of minutes but has already fallen out with Caldentey over something or other. The referee has a word with both as Caldentey nudges her opponent. Her and McCabe will have some fun on that left side! 1-0
46' The second half is underway. 1-0
Arsenal have so many options to call upon from the bench in this second half, with an abundance of resources if need be. Rosa Kafaji could be a perfect match for this game.
Rangers make a half-time change as McAuley comes on for Hay.
Caitlin Foord's header, set up by debutant Mariona Caldentey, is all that separates the two sides despite Arsenal's dominance. Rangers have done well to keep the score to just 1-0.
Half-time: Arsenal 1-0 Rangers.
44' A quiet few minutes at Meadow Park with Rangers desperately working for no change to the scoreline before half-time. Hardy gets a talking-to from the referee after fouling McCabe. 1-0
38' Superb interchange between Maanum, KCC and Little before Fox's cross is intercepted. Great football. 1-0
36' The excellent Little has a shot blocked on the edge of the box. 1-0
33' Rangers continue to be compact and hard-working but for how long can they keep the scoreline at 1-0? It's such a tough ask for Jo Potter's team. 1-0
31' How has that not gone in? McCabe's low cross is turned towards goal by Maanum and Foord then gets a touch at the back post before Hill clears off the line. Caldentey's shot from the edge of the area is then saved by Esson. 1-0
28' More good defending from Codina who gets to the ball in front of Hardy and plays it back to Zinsberger. 1-0
25' A good advantage is played by referee Rasa Grigone as Foord's shirt is tugged back, but Arsenal can't capitalise. Cooney-Cross fires high over the crossbar, trying to attempt a repeat of Saturday's goal against Southampton on her right foot this time. 1-0
24' Nearly a second for Arsenal as Caldentey makes headway down the left side before driving the ball in low. Esson gets her hand to it before going down on the ball, eventually claiming it in a sea of bodies. 1-0
20' Just as Rangers were starting to move the ball effectively they came undone, and goalkeeper Esson will be kicking herself- she was nowhere near that header from Foord. Jo Potter's side will have to keep their heads held high and try and stay in the game. 1-0
16' Goal! Caitlin Foord puts Arsenal in front with a goal that was very similar to Atletico's opener in the earlier game. Caldentey drives a cross towards the back post and Foord is there to score Arsenal's first goal of the season! 1-0
15' Arsenal may be pressing tirelessly but Rangers aren't afraid to try and play their way through it. They send the ball in behind again and Wilkinson is outmuscled by Codina before Zinsberger sidesteps her to clear. 0-0
11' A first venture forward for those from the blue half of Glasgow, but Hardy gives up the chase as Zinsberger comes out to claim the ball. 0-0
8' Foord has kept her place on the right with Mead injured. The Aussie is right-footed but has played on the left predominantly in recent seasons, and has now been moved over by new arrival Mariona Caldentey. 0-0
5' The corner is too deep but Russo can keep it in play before falling over on the ball and losing possession. A couple of players have slipped in the early exchanges. 0-0
4' Excellent idea from Fox who drinks a cross towards the back post that's headed behind for a corner just before it reached Maanum. 0-0
2' Maanum's low cross is cleared before Rangers prevent Russo from getting a shot away. It's a high-energy start to this game. 0-0
1' Underway! 0-0
A packed Meadow Park belts out Louis Dunford's Angel, and we're ready to go.
Here come the teams! Arsenal in red, Rangers blue.
Arsenal are without Beth Mead, Steph Catley, Lina Hurtig and Victoria Pelova. Mead could return on Saturday, but her and Catley are here watching on from the stands.
The teams are in the tunnel!
This year, Arsenal are boosted by the fact that they have not had to go into these qualifiers off the back of a World Cup on the other side of the continent. Eidevall's side have had three pre-season games, and also have the benefit of these matches taking place at home, at Meadow Park.
It's certainly a strong Arsenal team with Jonas Eidevall taking no chances whatsoever. Arsenal won at this stage last season but were knocked out in the subsequent final by Paris FC on penalties.
The rain has stayed away from Meadow Park but it's becoming a chilly evening. Eight sprinklers are out in force on the pitch to ensure a slick surface. Will Rangers look to continue playing their attacking football, or will they drop back and defend with their lives? It'll be an interesting match-up one way or another.
Both sides have finished their warm-ups and are back down the tunnel before Arsenal's first competitive game of the season!
Arsenal's pre-match shooting drill has heralded mixed results, with the likes of Mariona Caldentey finding the top corner with style but goalkeeper Manu Zinsberger warning fans about the risk of balls flying into the North Bank... quite a few did!
Potter is no stranger to Arsenal, having spent the 2003-04 season with the Gunners. She received her first England call-up in her time with the club, going on to make 35 international appearances for her country.
Rangers could not arrive into the game in better form if they wanted to, but the standard of opposition they face domestically is the big question this evening. Jo Potter's side have won their first 5 games, scoring 43 goals without conceding, and are top of the Scottish Premier League.
Eidevall is intently watching Rangers warm up as he often does.
A mix of boos and silence as the tannoy tells the Arsenal fans to get behind Jonas Eidevall after reading through the team news. Another reminder for the head coach about just how big a season this is for the Gunners- these fans want silverware.
The loser tonight will play Atletico in a relatively meaningless third-place play-off, which Arsenal hope to avoid. The winner of Saturday evening's final will progress to round two of qualifying, which is a two-legged game. The winner of that will reach the group stage. It's a long process!
Arsenal are hosting a four-team mini-tournament at Meadow Park, with two semi-finals and a final. Atletico Madrid lost to Rosenborg on penalties in the other semi-final today after a 2-2 draw, so one of Arsenal or Rangers will play Rosenborg in Saturday's final.
Well, I promised to explain what Arsenal need to do to reach the Champions League group stage, so here goes...
It's a sellout at Meadow Park as always, and the North Bank is practically full with 45 minutes to go until kick-off. Daphne van Domselaar has a chant before she has an Arsenal appearance!
Arsenal have made one change from the team that started against Southampton (Jonas Eidevall made nine half-time subs in the Gunners' final pre-season outing) with Katie Reid replaced in defence by Laia Codina.
Rangers subs: Fife, Middag, McAuley, Austin, Berry, Lafaix, Mcleary, Black.
Rangers: Esson; Docherty, Rafferty, Hill, Eddie; Hay, McLoughlin, Howat; Arnot, Wilkinson, Hardy.
Arsenal subs: Van Domselaar (GK), Williams, Wubben-Moy, Walti, Kafaji, Kuhl, Blackstenius, Wienroither, Lia, Godfrey, Agyemang, Reid.
Arsenal: Zinsberger; McCabe, Codina, Williamson, Fox; Cooney-Cross, Little; Caldentey, Maanum, Foord; Russo.
First and foremost, the teams are in...
Good evening and welcome to Meadow Park! It's Arsenal Women against Rangers in the Women's Champions League, with both sides four games away from reaching the group stage of this year's competition. I'll explain how qualifying works a little later on.
