The Gunners end pre-season with a strong display with 23 different players featuring- goals from Cooney-Cross and a brace from Codina. Up next, Rangers in the Champions League on Wednesday
Full time: Southampton 0-3 Arsenal.
90+1' Four added minutes. 0-3
89' Junaid replaces Reid for her senior debut! 0-3
88' Agyemang tries her luck from distance and her shot is tipped round the post. 0-3
87' 5,279 is the official attendance at St Mary's. 0-3
86' Again Godfrey gets in behind and her low cross is claimed by Haaland. 0-3
85' Tara Junaid is being readied to come on for her first senior appearance. 0-3
84' Wienroither is getting into some attacking positions! She heads wide via a deflection from Godfrey's cross. 0-3
81' Wienroither's cross from deep is claimed by Haaland, who has had a good game in goal for the Saints. She then has to snatch the ball from under the feet of Kafaji. No relation to Erling, if you were wondering... 0-3
77' Both sides take a drinks break with a Southampton player down injured. 0-3
76' Williams comes a long way from goal but wins her tackle. Good spell for Southampton though. 0-3
73' Arsenal change their keepers, with Zinsberger leaving the field having not had to make a save. 0-3
71' Williams is set to replace Zinsberger in goal. 0-3
69' Goal! Laia Codina has her brace, from another Viv Lia free-kick that Southampton didn’t deal with. A low finish at the back post. 0-3
68' Kafaji's hard-hit strike is palmed over the crossbar by Haaland. 0-2
66' Godfrey comes on for Blackstenius. 0-2
65' Goal! Laia Codina with a good header from close range following Viv Lia’s free-kick. 0-2
65' Kafaji is challenged by Collette right on the edge of the box and Arsenal are awarded a free-kick from a slightly narrow angle. 0-1
61' Nearly a goal for Wienroither who closed down Haaland to the point her clearance smashed into the Arsenal right-back and the ball flew just wide of the far post. 0-1
60' A chance for Southampton to get the ball into the box from a corner. Blackstenius heads away confidently. 0-1
56' Another important block as Reid gets her head to Lia's corner and Blackstenius' shot is denied. 0-1
55' Close again- Kafaji slips the ball into Blackstenius and her shot is tipped into the side-netting by Haaland. Arsenal fans thought she had scored! 0-1
55' Lia's cross is hooked away by the first defender. 0-1
51' Wienroither plays Kafaji in behind and her shot flies narrowly over the crossbar. 0-1
49' Arsenal win a free-kick and Lia's delivery is headed away. 0-1
48' Harbert, a midfielder by trade, is playing at left-back, with Agyemang and Lia on either wing in attack. 0-1
46' The second half is underway. 0-1
Southampton will also make a change as Palmer comes on for Primus.
Both teams are back out there as the poor fourth official has the job of confirming Arsenal's nine changes.
Kuhl, Harbert, Blackstenius, Walti, Wienroither, Codina, Agyemang, Kafaji and Lia are all coming on. Reid and Zinsberger will continue.
Nine of Arsenal's starting players look to be warming down now it's half time.
Cooney-Cross' superb goal separates the two sides at half-time, but Arsenal could and should have a couple more goals to their name.
Half-time: Southampton 0-1 Arsenal
45+2' Another good chance for Maanum, played in by Little and unmarked but her shot lacks power and is saved well by Haaland. 0-1
45+1' Two added minutes. 0-1
45' Dean is receiving treatment after a strong challenge from Little, which angered the home fans. She's back up now and ready to continue. 0-1
43' Little gets in behind but is well challenged by Bourne. 0-1
41' Interested by Arsenal's corners so far- the Gunners are leaving a lot of space at the near post for each corner, with players either running into that area or the ball going deep into the box. They've been effective. 0-1
40' Nearly an own goal as the latest corner comes off of Primus' shins but is gathered by Primus. 0-1
37' Williamson heads wide from the resulting corner, off of a Southampton player according to the referee. Caldentey receives the ball at the near post but is challenged well. 0-1
36' Arsenal keep the pressure on as Williamson's long ball is headed back across goal by Caldentey before Southampton clear for a corner. 0-1
35' So close for Arsenal! Maanum gets a couple of shots away from close-range but Haaland does well to prevent her from scoring, before Caldentey fires over the bar. 0-1
31' Maanum gets into a good position in the box but tries to find Foord instead of going for goal, and Southampton intercept. 0-1
31' Foord and Maanum combine to find Caldentey, who fires into the hands of Haaland from a narrow angle before the offside flag is raised. 0-1
27' GOAL! Kyra Cooney-Cross, that is special! Left-footed, from the edge of the box, planted into the top corner. What a brilliant strike to break the deadlock. 0-1
25' Caldentey finds space on the left but overcooks her cross, which flies out for a throw-in. 0-0
24' Midway through the first half and Arsenal have had some half-chances, but nothing really to concern Southampton. McCabe swings another cross into the arms of Haaland. 0-0
23' McCabe loses possession but again Reid is stronger than Pike and can muscle her off the ball. Plenty of praise from the Arsenal bench for her play so far. 0-0
21' Some space opens up for Maanum on the edge of the box and her low shot is wide of the far post. 0-0
20' Another McCabe cross just evades Russo after Caldentey and Little combined well. 0-0
18' Arsenal win a corner as Caldentey is challenged well by Mott. It's taken short, and Cooney-Cross', well, cross, finds Russo but her scuffed shot is saved easily. Arsenal's best chance so far. 0-0
16' Again, Katie Reid looks supremely comfortable on the ball and isn't afraid to use her body when defending it- she has had a brilliant pre-season. 0-0
13' Southampton's first venture forward sees Collette make a good run in behind but her ball into the box is dealt with. Arsenal stretched for a moment there. 0-0
12' Regret to inform you that Declan Rice has been sent off. Most of you are probably watching that game anyway, but that's not news I wanted to hear at St Mary's! Maanum heads over from McCabe's powerful cross. 0-0
10' Maanum's low ball into the box doesn't find Russo and again Southampton can clear. 0-0
9' Southampton are looking to keep the ball down and play out from the back. The Saints recorded their highest league finish last season, 4th in the Championship, but have had a high player turnover in the summer. 0-0
7' Cooney-Cross' corner just evades Russo and is cleared away to the delight of Remi Allen, who will be up and about in her technical area all game. 0-0
5' Russo drives past Mott and draws a save from Haaland in goal- too easy for the Arsenal striker there. 0-0
4' As expected, Caldentey is on the left wing and Foord right. Reid starts on the left of Williamson in defence. 0-0
2' Arsenal progress up the field and Russo's flick through to Foord sees the flag raised. 0-0
1' We're underway at St Mary's! 0-0
"Oh when the Saints" is blasted out by the brass band. It's a cliche, but this does not have the atmosphere of a friendly, so credit to the home club for that! Arsenal will kick towards their away fans in the second half.
Arsenal are in their light blue third kit, with Southampton in red and white stripes.
Here come the teams, now to the tune of Seven Nation Army. The Arsenal fans are making plenty of noise, with a decent atmosphere building at St Mary's.
Southampton's pre-match hype video features Turn The Page by The Streets, what a brilliant choice of music. Not far from kick-off now.
Arsenal beat the Saints here by two goals to one in last season's Conti Cup group stage, with Frida Maanum and Amanda Ilestedt scoring after Molly Pike's wondergoal for the home side.
In the meantime, Arsenal have one more friendly to play. Southampton will provide competition likely more akin to a side like Rangers than Chelsea, or Washington Spirit, and provide Jonas Eidevall with another chance for some fine-tuning with his side.
So then, only a few days until Arsenal are back in competitive action. The Gunners host Rangers on Wednesday evening at Meadow Park in the Champions League- win, and they will face Atletico Madrid or Rosenborg for a place in Round 2 of qualification. I'll be there for both games on Wednesday.
Arsenal have brought a very impressive away following to St Mary's, filling up their section of the stand to my right. Credit to Southampton for the very reasonably priced tickets, also.
The warm-ups are finished and both teams have headed back down the tunnel.
Mariona Caldentey looks set to make her first Arsenal start from the left wing- she's delivering crosses in the warm-up from that flank whilst Foord is on the opposite side.
Arsenal men have taken the lead against Brighton. Kai Havertz the scorer!
Southampton lost 2-1 to Tottenham in their previous pre-season game, holding the WSL side until late on.
Steph Catley reportedly picked up a knock in training, which explains her absence. Beth Mead and Lotte Wubben-Moy have been rested for Wednesday's game against Rangers, which goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar could be back in contention for.
Arsenal captain Kim Little started both games Stateside and is in midfield again today alongside Kyra Cooney-Cross. Frida Maanum will play in the 'ten' role.
It's a grey, bordering on chilly day on the south coast, and the floodlights have just been switched on. A sharp contrast to the two friendlies Arsenal played in sunny Washington D.C, which brought about a win over Washington Spirit and defeat to Chelsea.
Both sides are out warming up in front of an already sizeable Arsenal away following, who are filling up half of the stand to my right.
Head over to my TikTok (@fcardy_) for video footage of the Arsenal players arriving at St Mary's.
Arsenal U21 prospect and England U17 international Tara Junaid is included in the squad for the first time.
Southampton subs: Pettit, Peake, Milne, Brown, Palmer, Watts, Nohasiarisoa, Thompson.
Southampton: Haaland, Collett, Mott, Bourne, Purfield, Griffiths, Kendall, Primus, Gregory, Dean, Pike.
Arsenal subs: Williams, Codina, Walti, Kafaji, Kuhl, Blackstenius, Wienroither, Lia, Godfrey, Agyemang, Harbert, Junaid.
Arsenal: Zinsberger; McCabe, Williamson, Reid, Fox; Little, Cooney-Cross; Caldentey, Maanum, Foord; Russo.
Team news is in. Beth Mead, Steph Catley, Lotte Wubben-Moy and Daphne van Domselaar are all not in the Arsenal squad.
Good afternoon and welcome to live coverage of Arsenal Women's final pre-season outing, away to Southampton.
