Mariona Caldentey will make her first start for Arsenal after joining from Barcelona earlier this summer.

The Gunners take on Southampton at St Mary’s in both clubs’ final pre-season friendly.

Arsenal U21 prospect Tara Junaid is included in the squad for the first time, with Lotte Wubben-Moy and Daphne van Domselaar likely left out as precautions.

Beth Mead and Steph Catley are also not in the squad.

Arsenal: Zinsberger; McCabe, Williamson, Reid, Fox; Little, Cooney-Cross; Caldentey, Maanum, Foord; Russo.

Subs: Williams, Codina, Walti, Kafaji, Kuhl, Blackstenius, Wienroither, Lia, Godfrey, Agyemang, Harbert, Junaid.
