Arsenal beat PSV 1-0 with a 70th minute strike from Granit Xhaka to qualify for the knock-out stages of the Europa League.

Arsenal (4-2-3-1)

GK: Matt Turner - 7/10 - A clean sheet. If he can repeat this in Holland Arsenal avoid two extra matches in an unneccesary February play-off 

RB: Takehiro Tomiyasu - 7/10 - Gives his all and never relents 

CB: Rob Holding - 7/10 - Looked to play from the back powered by his sumptuous thatch of hair 

CB: Gabriel - 7/10 - Solid 

LB: Kieran Tierney - 7/10 - Tenacious

CM: Albert Sambi Lokonga - 5/10 - He has no right to moan about not starting every game when he is as anonymous as he was vs PSV

CM: Granit Xhaka (c) - 8.5/10 - Redemption Man. Again. Excellent finish for his goal to prove that his is far more creative than many gave him credit for 

RM: Bukayo Saka - 8.5/10 - Another tireless effort from the world class 21-year-old. Arsenal boss Arteta insisted all top players play 70 games a year - though it would be nice to think Saka will eventually get a rest, the truth is he won't until June 2023

AM: Fabio Vieira - 7/10 - One sumptuous dummy on Xaxi Benitez left the precocious 19-year-old unsure if he was on the M1 or the A1 

LM: Eddie Nketiah - 7/10 - Had a great chance in the second half that he made himself but lacked composure in the finish.

ST: Gabriel Jesus - 8/10 - A lively spark leading the line and was at the heart of most of the chances the team created.

SUB: Thomas Partey (67' for Sambi Lokonga) - 8/10

SUB: Martin Odegaard (67' for Vieira) - 8/10

SUB: Gabriel Martinelli (76' for Jesus) - 7.5/10

SUB: Ben White (76' for Tomiyasu) - 7/10

SUB: Reiss Nelson (85' for Saka) - 6/10
