Find out who impressed with our Player Ratings:
Player Ratings:
Aaron Ramsdale: 5/10 - Beaten with a ball across goal when Ben Yedder struck the post early in the second half. Will be slightly frustrated it was not his finest game given the interest in David Raya. Will be slightly cheered by his spot-kick save from Takumi Minamino that saw Gabriel fire home the winner as the Gunners lifted the Emirates Cup 5-4 on penalties
Takehiro Tomiyasu: 5.5/10 - Good to get further minutes in his legs after a lengthy spell out injured last season. Swapped for Ben White just after the hour mark
William Saliba: 6/10 - Solid and unflustered. Wonderful to note the talented young French centre-back will be plying his trade in the red and white of Arsenal for many years to come
Jakub Kiwior: 4/10 - Unconvincing when the ball is whipped into the box
Jurrien Timber: 7/10 - The former Ajax defender has pace to burn and was keenly involved. Replaced by Kieran Tierney during a raft of second half changes
Thomas Partey: 7.5/10 - A powerful display. Showed excellent footwork to release the speedy Timber on one memorable occasion
Declan Rice: 6/10 - The £105m signing from West Ham's first appearance at the Emirates and nearly brought the house down as he strode through and shaped to shoot before being denied at the last. Needs time to fully gel but what a signing. Swapped with Havertz but both will surely start when the serious business begins when Forest visit a week on Saturday
Fabio Vieira: 6/10 - Showed good touches and vision in crowded spaces. Dovetailed well with Martinelli at times. Excellent technique to nearly score late on with an impressed strike that was tipped over
Gabi Martinelli: 6.5/10 Lively as ever. The talented Brazilian has a big season ahead of him
Emile Smith Rowe: 4/10 - A few nice touches but largely peripheral before being hooked on the hour mark
Eddie Nketiah: 7.5/10 Captain for the day. An excellent finish to expertly slot home sidefooted from close range to equalise moments before half-time
Substitutions:
Ben White: 6/10 - Replaced Tomisaysu midway through the second half
Kieran Tierney: 6/10 - On for Timber during a number of changes after the interval
Gabriel: 6.5/10 - Swapped with Saliba when Arteta introduced replacements. Gets an extra half a mark for firing home the spot-kick winner as the Gunners lifted the Emirates Cup 5-4 on penalties
Jorginho: 6/10 - An excellent interview with the Times magazine last week the highlight of the last few days for Arsenal's Brazilian Italian
Kai Havertz: 6/10 - On for fellow new signing Rice - but both will surely start when out matters vs Forest
Martin Odegaard: 6/10 - Narrowly fired over after replacing an ineffective ESR
Leandro Trossard: 6.5/10 - Has had an excellent pre-season and looked lively after coming on for Martinelli. Dovetailed well with fellow sub Odegaard at times
