Arsenal lost 3-1 to Manchester City at the Emirates on Wedneday evening.

Read on for our Arsenal Player Ratings:
Aaron Ramsdale: 6/10 - Caught in No Man's Land after Takehiro Tomiyashu's back pass saw Kevin De Bruyne capitalise with a deft finish.
Takehiro Tomiyashu: 4/10 - A poor game. Failed to cover himself in glory after boss Arteta opted for the Japanese international over Ben White in the right-back position. Deflected Grealish's shot past Ramsdale for 2-1
Gabriel: 6/10 - Had an escape when VAR ruled that his clumsy tangle with Erling Haaland that led to referee Anthony Taylor initially awarding a second half penalty, was overturned when the technology correctly ruled that the through ball to the Norway attacker was marginally offside
William Saliba: 6.5/10 - Put in a shift against arguably the finest attack in Europe
Olexsandr Zinchenko: 6.5/10 - Flitted between the backline and midfield as per Arteta's tactical instructions. Excellent cross for Eddie Nketiah in the first half that the Lewisham-born striker should have converted
Granit Xhaka: 6.5/10 - Gave his all as ever but it wasn't to be
Jorginho: 6.5/10 - In for the injured Thomas Partey. Showed excellent positioning and intent in breaking up opposition attacks, even if his timing was not as finely calibrated as the match demanded. Excellent through ball for Nketiah early on was an example of his vision, even if the move came to nothing. Faded as the game wore on
Martin Odegaard: 6.5/10 - Struggled to impose his talents on such a crucial game, but wasnz't for lack of effort
Bukayo Saka: 7/10 - The coolest player on the pitch when stepping up to send Emerson the wrong way and equalise for Arsenal, sending the vociferous home support into raptures - not to mention his equally jubilant teammates
Gabi Martinelli: 6.5/10 - Never stops running. Certainly let the City backline know they were in a game, even if he wasn't as effective as he would have wished
Eddie Nketiah: 5/10 - Should have scored with a first half header. At this rarefied level where marginal gains make all the difference chances such as that simply have to be taken. Earned the penalty through lively play and a refusal to be downcast
Substitutes:
Leandro Trossard: 6/10 - On for Martinelli but failed to make an impact
Fabio Vieira: 5/10 - Replaced Xhaka as the clock ticked down
Ben White: 6/10 - Came on for Tomiyashu leaving many observers perplexed as to why the former Brighton defender didn't start the game
