Player Ratings: Arsenal 2-1 Brentford:

Kai Havertz spared Aaron Ramsdale's blushes as Arsenal sealed a vital victory over Brentford - a result that puts the Gunners top of the Premier League before title rivals Liverpool and Manchester City clash on Sunday afternoon.

Mikel Arteta's side - who lead the table for the first time since December - went in front through Declan Rice's header after 19 minutes.

The Gunners continued to dominate but, just as the home side were about to head into the inteval a cvomfiortablew 1-0 up, Ramsdale's clearance was blocked by a sliding Yoane Wissa as the ball rebounds into the net.

A real shame for Ramsdale in what could well be his last game in Arsenal colours - that was until Havertz's late winner sealed three vital points.
