Find out who impressed with our Gooner Fanzine Player Ratings

GK: Matt Turner - 7/10 – Solid without ever entirely convincing. Footwork and distribution was disappointing, needs plenty of work.

CB: Takehiro Tomiyasu - 8/10 – Proof that Arsenal  have two genuine talents for every spot. Showed versatility by switching to the left channel after Kieran Tierney was subbed.

CB: Rob Holding - 8/10 – Hardly Played his part in earning a clean sheet for the backline. Grabbed a goal with a first half header powered by his impressive new thatch.

CB: Gabriel - 8/10 - Imperious

RM: Marquinhos - 6/10 – Flitted in and out of the game. Disappointing to see a Brazilian cede possession through a bad touch or two. A loan spell beckons

CM: Albert Sambi Lokonga - 6/10 – Not his most influential game, and you do fear what would happen if Xhaka or Partey were injured for a long spell

CM: Granit Xhaka - 8/10 – A footballing colossus these days. Nearly scored with a rasping drive kept out by alert keeper Nikita Haikin

LM: Kieran Tierney - 8/10 – An assist of sorts after his powerful strike thudded the post before Nketiah immediately slotted home. Look fit and confident. Great to see

AM: Fabio Vieira – 8.5/10 – Such a wonderfully creative influence. The game was tailor made for his talent and vision and fully deserved his late goal. If we can bring such performances to top of the table Premier League matches, Arsenal really will have a new star

ST: Gabriel Martinelli - 6/10 – Full of energy, commitment and running but wasn’t as effective as he would have liked to have been

ST: Eddie Nketiah - 8/10 – Excellent finish for the opener but fluffed a chance in the second half. Good to see him play alongside Jesus, when the £45m striker played wide left to accommodate him down the middle. Yet you feel this is strictly a Europa League tactic

SUB: Martin Odegaard (58' for Xhaka) - 6/10 – The Norway midfielder received a salty challenge from stalwart stopper Ulrik Saltnes shortly after coming on.

SUB: Bukayo Saka (58' for Marquinhos) - 6/10 – A nice little warm-up for Liverpool

SUB: Gabriel Jesus (58' for Martinelli) - 8/10 -  Wonderful run down the line to set up Vieira for his goal. A class act

SUB: Ben White (70' for Tierney) - 7/10 – Will surely swap with the redoubtable Tomiyasu for Sunday’s match

SUB: Reiss Nelson (82' for Nketiah) – 6/10 – Looked lively but too sort a cameo to make firm judgement
