David Raya: 6/10 - Didn’t cover himself in glory for the goal, but a lot of solid catches and trademark excellent distribution.
Ben White: 7/10 - Mr Reliable. Not grabbing the headlines, but aided in nullifying the Liverpool attacking threat.
William Saliba: 6.5/10 - An uncharacteristic error let Liverpool back into the game, but again was broadly his usual towering presence.
Gabriel: 7/10
Oleksandr Zinchenko: 5/10 - So much was made of his sensibilities going into this game. He certainly wasn’t a chink in our armour, but was dragged off too early to influence the game for better or worse.
Jorginho - 9/10 - His best performance in an Arsenal shirt for me. Everything we want from him. Composure, intellect, leadership.
Declan Rice: 8/10 - What more can you write about this exceptional footballer?
Martin Odegaard: 8/10 - I repeat, what more can you write about this exceptional footballer?
Gabi Martinelli: 8.5/10 - So wonderful to see him back at his galloping best. Got behind the Liverpudlian defence so often in the first half, and notched a well-deserved (if pretty guilt-edged) goal.
Kai Havertz: 7.5/10: A decent understudy. Aerially strong, and ready to put himself about a bit in a heated contest.
Bukayo Saka: 9/10 - Our star boy stood up today. I love this man. Another goal to add to his haul, and glimpses of the flair and undeniable god-given talent he possesses.
Substitutes:
Jakub Kiwior: 7/10 - Didn’t really put a foot wrong. Should almost definitely have scored an unlikely goal. He’s not got the creative nouse of Zinny, but defensively able
Reiss Nelson: 7/10 - Usual tenacity and pace. A great option for an impact player.Trossard -
LEOOOOOO: 8/10 - Liverpool HATE him. Sealed a wonderful, massive, vital day for the gunners.
