Arsenal’s only change from the win over Leicester City, replacing Sabrina D’Angelo. Made a strong save to deny Terland in the second half.

Lotte Wubben-Moy 8/10

Seems to win every sliding tackle at the moment. Her and Beattie produced a monumental effort to keep out every Brighton attack in the second half.

Jen Beattie 8/10

Has been such a crucial part of this injury-hit Arsenal side, proving such a consistent performer in the centre of defence. Made some huge blocks and tackles in the second half to preserve Arsenal’s clean sheet.

Rafaelle Souza 6.5/10

Came off at half time as Arsenal switched to a back four, with Rafaelle helping to keep a first half clean sheet.

Noelle Maritz 6/10

Was given problems by Katie Robinson, who looked to cut inside against Maritz and drive into the middle of midfield. Delivered the cross on her weaker foot to set up Maanum’s header.

Jodie Taylor 6.5/10

A late change to the starting lineup saw the 36 year old replace Lia Walti, who felt unwell before the game. No real cutting edge on the right wing but her constant running and hard work cannot be understated.

Frida Maanum 7.5/10

Played in a much deeper role because of Walti’s absence, doing a job in holding midfield. A nicely taken header to make it 3-0, a fifth goal in her last six WSL appearances, before producing the pinpoint through ball to set up Pelova for Arsenal’s fourth.

Victoria Pelova 8/10

A capable replacement for Walti at the base of midfield- has proved her versatility in recent weeks. Slammed the ball past Walsh to make it 4-0 just before half time after starting the move with a driving run.

Katie McCabe 7/10

Covered every blade of grass, popping up in all kinds of areas and leading from the front once again.

Kathrine Kuhl 6.5/10

Kept things simple on the ball and is starting to adapt to the physicality of the WSL after signing in January. Should have scored in the second half but was kept out by a brilliant Walsh save.

Stina Blackstenius 8/10

Two really well taken goals, stepping up for her side and showing plenty of composure to take her chances. Spearheaded Arsenal’s press and forced Brighton into costly errors. Denied a hat trick by a controversial offside call but had plenty of chances to score her third that she couldn’t convert.

Gio Queiroz (Sub, Half time’)

Played on the right wing and as expected made a lively start from the bench, always looking to drive into the box. Went off injured after a challenge in the 72nd minute, the third consecutive game where an Arsenal player has come off the bench before picking up an injury and being forced off again.
