Leicester City 0-1 Arsenal
A goal early in the second half by Gabi Martinelli was enough to seal a vital victory at the King Power on Saturday afternoon, as the Gunners extended their lead at the top of the Premier League with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Leicester City.
The Brazilian struck in the first minute of the second half, latching on to an excellent through-ball from Leandro Trossard to roll his shot past Danny Ward.
Trossard had a superb first-half goal disallowed after Arsenal's Ben White impeded Foxes keeper Danny Ward in the build-up.
Arsenal lead Manchester City by five points before they face Bournemouth in Saturday's 17:30 GMT kick-off.
Find out which Gunners impressed with our Arsenal Player Ratings:
Aaron Ramsdale: 7/10 - Another clean sheet at the ground where he the save of the season last term
Ben White: 7/10 - Firmly back from his spell on the bench that saw Takehiro Tomiyashu fail to cover himself in glory. Unlucky to be called for impeding Foxes keeper Danny Ward in the build up to Leandro Trossard's spectacular disallowed first half strike
Gabriel: 7/10 - Solid. Put in a shift
William Saliba: 7/10 - Has looked shaky at times recently during Arsenal's recent wobble but the young French defender is a class act and will surely put pen to paper on a new long-term deal and showcase his talents for the next decade with the Gunners
Oleksandr Zinchenko: 7.5/10 - Arsenal were captained by the Gunners No35 “as a mark of respect and love on the first anniversary of the conflict in Ukraine.” He never lets anyone down, and must have made his Arsenal-supporting countrymen and women extremely proud at such an accolade
Granit Xhaka: 7/10 - Gave his all as he always does as the team's elder statesman in midfield these days
Jorginho: 6.5/10 - Thomas Partey was short of fitness and failed to make the starting XI, allowing Jorginho to start again, following his last-gasp long-range strike at Villa. Technically gifted and uses the ball well at times, but, alas, he's not a replica of the influential Ghanian
Leandro Trossard: 7.5/10 - Unlucky to have his quite stunning first half curler disallowed for a foul in the build-up. Provided an excellent through-ball for Martinelli to race onto for the goal to underline just how well he has settled in at the club following his move from Brighton
Martin Odegaard: 7/10 - Swapped for Partey as the clock ticked down
Gabi Martinelli: 8/10 - Showed bravery when slotting home the all-important winner which could prove crucial in the title race
Bukayo Saka: 6.5/10 - Lively without being as influential as he would have liked
