Player ratings:
Manu Zinsberger 8/10
Made an excellent save to deny Yuka Momiki’s long-range effort, diving to her left, and then had to get across to her right to deny Tierney later in the first half. Good value for her clean sheet.
Katie McCabe 7/10
Back on the left side of defence. Volleyed narrowly over the bar early in the second half.
Steph Catley 8/10
Filled in for the injured Lotte Wubben-Moy at centre-back and delivered a solid display. Assisted Alessia Russo’s goal.
Leah Williamson 7.5/10
Aggressive in the tackle and in the air, reading the game well.
Emily Fox 7.5/10
Up against the dangerous Jutta Rantala. Not afraid to try her luck on her weaker foot, drawing an excellent save from Kop. Will face some more competition at right-back now that Laura Wienroither has returned from injury, but the USWNT international has firmly established herself as first-choice.
Kim Little 7/10
Tenacious in her efforts to subdue Yuka Momiki, and was booked in the second half.
Victoria Pelova 7/10
Quick feet in midfield but at times giving the ball away too easily.
Caitlin Foord 7.5/10
Set up Beth Mead’s opener and was particularly lively in the second half, testing Lize Kop on a number of occasions.
Alessia Russo 7/10
Remained in the number ten role after flourishing against Bristol City, scoring a brace, and netted again in the 75th minute when her firm strike found the bottom corner.
Beth Mead 8/10
Constantly lively on and off the ball, putting Arsenal in front after 28 minutes with a clever finish and completing back-to-back braces in the second half with a tap-in.
Stina Blackstenius 6.5/10
Looked to run in behind but was somewhat short of chances, and was replaced 20 minutes into the second half.
Frida Maanum (Sub, 65’) 7/10
Returned to the pitch for the first time after collapsing in the Conti Cup final.
Cloe Lacasse (Sub, 82’)
Vivianne Miedema (Sub, 82’)
Laura Wienroither (Sub, 90+4’)
Laia Codina (Sub, 90+4’)
