Sabrina D’Angelo - 8/10

A shaky start when playing out from the back but she has gained confidence as the game has gone on, and produced a fantastic second half performance. She made a great save just before half-time to deny Baggaley and an even better save in the second half to deny Sarri one-on-one. 

Emily Fox - 6/10

Emily Fox has been involved in the attack significantly throughout this first half, awarded the assist for the Alessia Russo opener. Her final pass in the box is sometimes lacking, gifting possession back to Brighton. 

Leah Williamson - 8/10

A dominant first half performance from the Arsenal CB - solid in defence and playing fantastic long balls to Caitlin Foord. 

Steph Catley - 7/10

Another shift for Steph Catley at CB and she has performed extremely well. Although she was caught out in early stages of the game with balls over the top, she soon settled into the game. Her long balls, much like Williamson’s, tested Brighton and got Arsenal on the attack. Her run from CB to the centre of the pitch even won Arsenal a penalty. 

Katie McCabe - 6/10

Katie McCabe has been involved when Arsenal attack, linking up with Foord on the left flank and looking to make overlapping runs. Often finding space on the edge of the box, McCabe has been looking for the opportunity to take a shot from the edge of the box on numerous occasions. 

Kim Little - 8/10

Another strong performance from the Arsenal skipper, who has helped Arsenal control the midfield throughout the game. Despite missing the penalty, she has played numerous roles - starting the first half as the number 10 but later playing a deeper role when Maanum came on. She has performed her defensive duties when required to help Arsenal keep their clean sheet. 

Victoria Pelova - 7/10

Becoming a solid performer in this team, Victoria Pelova had another excellent game in midfield. Always looking to get forward, she utilised the space awarded to her in midfield by Brighton to turn away from players and get Arsenal on the attack. She looked to link up with the wide players, playing balls out wide or through the lines. She wasn’t afraid to challenge for the ball, but sometimes lost possession in her attempts. 

Kyra Cooney-Cross - 7/10

Another solid performance in the Arsenal midfield, linking up well with her Australia teammate Foord out wide. Much like Pelova, she capitalised on the space in the midfield awarded by Brighton, looking to drive forward. 

Caitlin Foord - 6/10

A lively performance out on the wing for Caitlin Foord, utilising her strengths in 1v1 situations. She has linked up extremely well with McCabe who provided the overlapping run. Her final decision, much like Beth Mead’s, has lacked at times. 

Beth Mead - 6/10

Despite being involved in a significant amount of the attack, she has struggled in her decision-making at times, similar to Fox. Running in behind the Brighton backline she has posed a threat for Arsenal, however. 

Alessia Russo - 9/10

A standout performer for Arsenal, despite being brought off at the 62nd minute. Her first half performance was one of the best on the pitch, dropping deep to help receive the ball then playing it out wide. She made her presence felt in the box too, taking up great positions that put her in the right place for each of the goals.

Vivianne Miedema (Sub, 62’) 10/10

Putting in a top performance in her final game, Miedema operated in a typical number 9 position, a similar role to Russo where she could drop deep when required. Her runs behind the Brighton backline caused them significant problems, and she positioned herself in the box to get on the end of any crosses. By dropping into the midfield when required she was also able to assist Maanum with a ball in behind. 

Frida Maanum (Sub, 62’) 7/10

Another top substitution for Arsenal in this game, providing runs in behind the backline and linking up with Vivienne Miedema well. Taking over for Kim Little she performed the number 10 role extremely well, almost acting as the second striker when the opportunity arose to make runs in behind. 

Laia Codina (Sub, 62’) 7/10

Laia Codina performed her duties extremely well since she came on the pitch, providing Arsenal with the defensive stability needed to ensure their clean sheet. Her aerial presence even forced an own goal from Carabali, resulting in Arsenal’s fourth goal. 

Laura Wienroither (Sub, 67’) 7/10

Another one that performed well when she came on, providing the width when Arsenal looked to attack but also getting back when required to help Arsenal keep the clean sheet.
