Arsenal showed class and character to win the North London derby 3-2 on a dramatic afternoon at White Hart Lane.
The Gunners outclassed Spurs in the first half to post a 3-0 lead at the interval, after an own goal from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, followed by Bukaya Saka and Kai Havertz's efforts to put the visitors firmly in the driving seat.
However, with Mikel Arteta's side coasting midway through the second half, with the home crowd silent, a David Raya error gave Ange Postecoglu's side a lifeline.
The former Brentford loanee keeper's mistake handed Cristian Romero – who hit the post in the first half - the chance to pull a goal back and reawaken a previously silent home support in the process.
Arsenal had to dig deep to hold out after Decan Rice - who had been immense from start to finish bar a moment of madness when he caught Ben Davies late - which saw VAR send referee Michael Oliver to the monitor to award a penalty to the home side.
Up stepped Heung-Min Son to slot home despite Raya diving the right way to set up a grandstand finish.
Yet, Arteta's Arsenal were equal to the task, and sealed a tremendous victory, to once again prove North London is red.
