Arsenal Women head coach Jonas Eidevall shared his pride as the Gunners prepare to break another attendance record at Emirates Stadium.

All 60,704 tickets for Arsenal’s Women’s Super League game against Manchester United in N5 have sold out, meaning that Arsenal are set to break their own record for the highest attendance at a WSL match.

Eidevall was full of praise for the Arsenal staff who he felt have played a part in the club’s progression.

“The whole club should take massive credit for that,” said the Arsenal head coach.

“It would not have been possible without all the hard work that many people do across the whole club. That goes from Dan [Lane] on the communications department and it goes from Juliet [Slot] on the commercial department, and it goes for the staff at the grounds who prepare for the event and make it such an enjoyable experience for everyone that comes in.”

“As well as of course our fans. Massive credit to them. And it’s another milestone. I feel these milestones, they now happen in shorter and shorter periods of time, and that’s amazing because that’s our progression, it’s how a snowball acts when it starts rolling.”

“I can see for the two-and-a-half years I’ve been here starting at the Emirates Stadium with 10,000 people against Chelsea, and now coming into last season when we had a sellout against Wolfsburg in the Champions League semi-final, and then seeing how that rolls into this season, having attendances over 50,000 numerous times, and now we get another sellout.

“And we still have two more games to play at the Emirates this season so it’s incredible. It just shows the growth of the game, and for us in particular.”
