Spreading the goals around...

On a day that we welcomed our first-choice forward back to the pitch, it's important to state how vital it is that we're spreading the goals around the team this season.

Captain Martin Ødegaard joined Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli on a double-digit haul of Premier League goals. With 11 games remaining we might even see a total of five players reach at least ten goals for the campaign, by the time it's all over - with Eddie on 9 and the returning Jesus on 5.

While much is always made of the focal point of a top-class striker to build play around, teamwork certainly makes the dream work when you're chasing a title.

Our holding midfielders and defenders took their total seasonal haul to 19 league goals between them with Gabriel's opener. That's a massive contribution from those primarily tasked with stopping goals!

No let up from Arteta...

The culture Mikel Arteta has set at the club is evident from the amazing interaction he had with captain Ødegaard when a ball went loose in the final ten minutes with the game already won. Arteta clapped his hands together and demanded more.

Also note the celebratory reactions from both Gabriel and Aaron Ramsdale with their late block of a Fulham attack in injury-time.

This kind of thing was alien to the squad that Arsene Wenger left at the end of his reign, it's an incredible job for Arteta to have turned this around with such a no nonsense approach in a relatively short time.

Home comforts are now massive...

A home match against a woefully out of form Crystal Palace is the second of two remaining games in March, a month where we are unbeaten on all fronts.

Although progress in the Europa League will be a welcome side note on Thursday - Sunday's game against the Eagles is vital if we're to end our 19 year wait for a top-flight title.

Manchester City don't play again in the league until they take on Liverpool on April 1 after the international break. We could be eight points ahead by the time they kick off that game and if Liverpool do us a favour we'd then have a nice home match against another out of form team (Leeds) to secure a double-figure lead with just nine game remaining.

That's not out of the question based on the fixtures and our returning personnel.

The next two league games at the Emirates could give us one hand on the trophy....
