The January transfer window is around the corner, and it looks as though Arsenal are already deep into evaluating their options.

It’s no secret that the Gunners are interested in Ukrainian winger Mykhaylo Mudryk, a devastatingly fast and direct forward with a clear vision to join Mikel Arteta’s side.

The 21-year-old posted a video on his Instagram during Arsenal’s 3-1 victory over West Ham United on boxing day to show the world he was watching the club.

It’s been reported that Arsenal have made a move for the star-boy, with a bid in the region of £55m being rejected.

It’s believed that Shakhtar Donetsk are holding out for a fee closer to £90m for the forward, which in this day and age isn’t seen as unreasonable.

There’s no denying the quality and potential of the youngster, but with less than two established seasons under his belt, when does the price tag on young talent become too much?

Arsenal are said to want to continue their pursuit for the forward, who would be a strong addition to the Gunners who are without Gabriel Jesus due to injury.

Another arising star is reportedly an option for Arsenal on a loan basis, with Portuguese starlet Joao Felix being in the mix after a breakdown in relationships at Atletico Madrid.

Felix, who showed his talent at the World Cup, would be a statement addition for the Gunners, however with a high price tag and wage demand, it’s unclear just how strong the rumours linking him to North London are, considering the ongoing pursuit of Mudryk.

The Gunners sit five points clear at the top of the league table, but with fixtures coming thick and fast and the likes and depth of Manchester City on their tails, it’s not negotiable that signatures are captured in January.
