Which Arsenal Players Will Be in Germany for the Euros?

Besides the playoffs next March, Euro 2024 qualifying is a thing of the past. As such, we can now try and predict which Arsenal members will join teammates from their nations for Europe's biggest International competition in Germany next year.

Ibiza, the Algarve and Jamaica will have to wait for these fortunate few, with the European Championships taking up a month of football's summer break from 14 June next year. Not that you'll find this lot complaining as they gear up to take on the continent's best, representing their countries and the famous red-and-white on one of football's biggest stages.

So which Arsenal players could take part in this mouthwatering football feast? We'll look at the probable, possible and outsider Gunners candidates you could see on the telly or live in Germany from the middle of June. By looking at the current tournament odds, we'll also give you an indication of their chances of lifting the big one a month later.

Let's kick off with our local lads representing England. England's Euro qualifying campaign stuttered late with some unimpressive final performances, but give Gareth Southgate his due. He got the team to Germany safely and had every right to tinker with his combinations after doing so.

Of Arsenal's English candidates to make Southgate's squad for the finals, we can view Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka as dead certs for selection, bar injury. Rice featured in all eight of England's matchday squads in qualifying and, let's face it, is his country's number one defensive midfielder. Although Saka missed England's home match with Italy with a thigh injury, he played in the other seven and will be on the plane.

Aaron Ramsdale is only a possible Euro selection right now. Firstly, he missed the national last squad due to injury and isn't The Gunners' number-one choice in goal right now. Unless this changes, his position could go to Newcastle's Nick Pope.

Eddie Nketiah's five Arsenal goals in 12 EPL appearances this season show he's in form, with a predatory instinct that England could use as a backup to Harry Kane in Germany. Southgate does have other preferred options already, so Nketiah may have to force himself into the national squad through a weight of goals. With only a single international-friendly appearance, he's an outside bet to make the plane.

Ben White's selection chances for the Euro finals are minimal. Although the Gunners right-back has been in good form this season, Southgate has overlooked him for every Euro qualifying squad.  White's chances of adding to his four England caps in Germany seem remote at best, although consistent club performances could open the selection door again.

Likewise, Emil Smith Rowe has fallen from favour after a promising start to his Arsenal and England career. He's probably not on Southgate's Euro squad radar at present.

According to the early odds on betting sites available here, England's price of 4/1 currently tops the betting for Euro 2024. With solid contributions from Arsenal's Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, it might be the year the Three Lions lift their first European Championship title.

France carries the second-favourites tag in early betting for Euro 2024, with odds of 9/2 on offer for Didier Deschamps' team. A successful Group B qualifying campaign ended undefeated, with Les Bleus only dropping points with a draw in their final match against Greece.

This draw was the first entire game that Arsenal's William Saliba played in French qualifying. As we know, the tall centre-back has struggled with a back injury since March, so it was a timely return to full international action for the French-Cameroonian.  If Saliba can maintain his injury-free status quo, he's a favourite to add to his 10 French caps and make the country's squad for Germany.

Despite some iffy form and not having to negotiate a Euro qualifying group, Germany is finding favour with betting sites. The Euro 2024 hosts are presently third-favourites in the betting with odds of 7/1 for a home title. Kai Havertz represents Arsenal in the German squad and should be present at the big event.

24-year-old Havertz earned his 41st German cap in the recent Friendly loss against Austria. He plays a major role in national boss Julian Nagelsmann's Euro plans but, with Die Mannschaft last winning against the USA four games ago, no German player should rest on their laurels. Havertz's improved Gunners form after a tough settling-in period should see him easily make the German Euro squad.

David Raya is Spain's second-choice goalkeeper and Arsenal's incumbent first-choice. As such, he will likely find a place among Luis de la Fuente's three keepers for Euro 2024. Spain qualified comfortably from Group A, with their only loss coming against also-qualified Scotland early on. With odds of 8/1 on offer for the Alvaro Morata-led nation, Raya has a decent chance of lifting the trophy.

Gunners defender Cédric Soares' best chance of making the 9/1-rated Portuguese Euro squad is as an emergency call-up. The 32-year-old hasn't been part of national boss  Roberto Martínez's plans for the entire campaign and could likely go ahead and book his summer holiday. Arsenal's Fábio Vieira, with some decent club form, could still force his way into the Portugal reckoning.

Jorginho has struggled with some niggling injuries and illnesses so far this season. Despite this, the Italian has remained pivotal to Arsenal but has found himself in and out of Luciano Spalletti's national squad. He did play in Italy's last two Group C qualifiers against North Macedonia and the Ukraine. If Jorginho can keep fit and on form, he should make the Italian squad for the Euros, which Gli Azzurri carry odds of 16/1 to win.

The jury is still out on whether Gunners Belgian left-winger Leandro Trossard will appear for his national side in Germany. The Belgians, also at 16/1 with bookmakers, were unbeaten in qualifying but have used Trossard only sparingly. He only made four substitute appearances during qualifying. Trossard's eye for goal could still get him the nod ahead of some others.

A third 16/1 chance with betting sites is the Netherlands. After making the Dutch squad for the first two qualifiers against France and Gibraltar in late March, Arsenal's dynamic defender Jurrien Timber tore his

cruciate ligament on his club debut against Nottingham Forest. He's been sidelined ever since and is eyeing a return to action in the early months of 2024.

Timber's chances of making the Dutch Euro squad depend on his recovery, return to action and form. With Ronald Koeman using other settled combinations, it might be difficult for the 22-year-old to break into the squad so soon before the tournament. Timber is a 50% chance for the Euros, at most.

250/1 underdogs, Ukraine, will call on Arsenal's Oleksandr Zinchenko for Germany. The Gunners left-back has represented his country 58 times so far and was a regular starter throughout Ukraine's Group C qualifiers. He only missed matches against North Macedonia and Malta with a calf muscle tear and remains a crucial element in Ukraine's outside hopes in Germany.

Two other Arsenal players could also see action in Germany but may not for differing reasons. If fit, Kieran Tierney, currently on loan at Real Sociedad, is almost a certainty for manager Steve Clarke's Scotland (80/1). Tierney, like Jurrien Timber, may not be fully fit and in form in time, though. He has a bad hamstring injury that will keep him out of action until after the new year.

Finally, Gunners reserve centre-back Jakub Kiwior will make it to Euro 2024 if he's fit and his country qualifies. Kiwior played every minute of Poland's Euro Group E qualifying campaign, but his country still needs to negotiate March's playoffs before reaching the Germany showpiece. Should Poland make it to the finals, bookmakers currently offer 250/1 odds on them to win the title.

Whatever happens, Arsenal fans will see some Gunners players in action at the 2024 European Championships in Germany. How many will make the grand stage isn't 100% clear, but the proud English club's flag will certainly fly high in the German summer atmosphere.
