Match day pies any day of the week!
Fans’ favourite Wrights Chicken Balti Pies are no longer restricted to a match day treat!
More than a decade after the legendary football fodder was launched into stadiums across the country and for the first time in Wrights’ 96-year history, Wrights branded Chicken Balti Pies are available in retail and making an exclusive appearance in Tesco from 22 February – 14 March, culminating with British Pie Week (6-12 March).
Sold at Wembley and in the grounds of clubs including Arsenal, Man Utd and Fulham, the Wrights Chicken Balti Pie is coveted by fans for its combination of a unique naan bread-inspired pastry base and cumin seed-garnished puff pastry lid with an authentic balti curry filling.
Football fan and head of Wrights New Product Development (NPD) team, George Tatlow, said: “Our Chicken Balti Pies have been a firm favourite for more than 10 years and as head of the development team, I love hearing and seeing fans enjoying them when I’m at the match!
“With our original family recipe, we make pastry like you’ve never tasted which really sets our pies – and all of our pastry products - apart. We’re so excited to now be taking the stadium pie experience out beyond the football ground and giving more people than ever the chance to try our pastry and our generous chicken balti filling for themselves.”
