Adebayor, Adebayor, show him the door, then we might score

Our number 25 has some serious work to do to return to the fans’ favour

Adebayor, Adebayor, show him the door, then we might score

Ade-barn-door as he is known to some

Emmanuel Adebayor has urged Arsene Wenger to sign several new players. And for my money one of them should be a centre forward. Ade was so poor in the two United travesties that you have to wonder if Bendtner was tempted to advise him 'I'm on because you're sh*t' when he replaced Walcott on Tuesday.

Adebayor has said he would not be walking away from the club this summer. Great, I can only hope he runs way instead. “We need some players". Absolutely true, starting with a big forward who can use two feet and doesn't require the turning circle of an oil tanker to get it on to his right peg. Arsenal haven't suffered such a one-footed player up front since Malcolm MacDonald.

Adebayor was close to joining AC Milan last summer but vowed this latest setback would not now prompt him to leave. Of course setbacks won't prompt the big, lazy so-and-so to leave because his snout is now firmly rooted deep in the Arsenal trough. "Now I am empty-handed...." he went on. I'd suggest far more empty-headed than empty-handed.

Arsenal have not had a player as easily caught offside since that great overweight lump Hartson waddled off to the Shammers. There is surely no more pointless way of gifting the opposition possession, apart from a foul throw, than to be caught offside. Adebayor is a grand master at getting himself caught offside and thus gifting possession. The offside law is hardly rocket science, gracious me, even some assistant referees occasionally figure it out.

Had he worked to improve his left foot, figured out the offside law and worked harder during matches Ade could have been a truly awesome striker, instead he's proved himself to be an expensive liability. If Milan, or anyone else, come in for the Togonator again this summer Le Boss should bite their hands off and replace him.
