At this rate, Manchester City will have paid off Ashburton for us. £25m already in the bank from the Ade-barn-door sale. And now KT seems to be Manchester bound for another £15m. God only knows how much we could fleece them for if Cesc decided that money is more important than football. Hopefully that will not happen.
When the chavs spend vast quantities of cash, at least the rest of us know that they usually buy true international class. Man City? Gareth Barry has never been seriously considered by any of the Big 4 until Liverpool last summer. And even then they refused to pay over the odds for him. Ultimately money and ONLY money took Barry away from a club (Villa) with a better chance of Champions League football than City.
Santa Cruz again has never attracted the Big 4 and seems to spend a large portion of his season in the phsyio’s room. Tevez is a good player. A hard worker. So how will he feel when he see’s Ade-barn-door standing five yards into the opposition’s half, with his shoulders slumped complaining about being caught offside for the 10th time in as many minutes! Robinho is a good player, but only on his terms, and at his pace. Wet Wednesday nights at Wigan are not his strong point.
And so it seems Big Kolo is heading up the M6 too. Kolo has been a good servant over the years, but has ultimately failed to live up to the hype of his first two seasons and has never been a settled first teamer as a result. Wenger has no idea of his best position, and that is mainly due to the player not having a sodding clue either.
The arrival of Vermaelen has sealed his departure, and as Arsenal have already made a massive profit from selling the most over-rated player in human history, we may as well fleece the Mancs again for a player probably already past his best. £40m in a fortnight. I think Man Utd should have listened to offers from City for Ronaldo. They could have doubled their money like we have!
