We are now one game into our usual minefield month that is November. It's normally about this time of the season that the wheels start to fall off the Gooner bandwagon. So far so good after one game with AZ swept aside without too much bother. Now as if to test our mettle the Premier League has given us two successive away games at Wolves and Slumberland, with a break in between for an international weekend.
But at least they have been kind enough to let us finish the month with a home game against Chelsea. I will happily settle for seven points out of nine from those three games, wins against Wolves and Chelsea and a draw at Sunderland.
The only thing that worries me is an injury to one of our centre backs. We just don't have adequate back up for either Vermaelen or Gallas, which is very worrying. Le Boss seems to have a blind spot when it comes to this area, he has players all over the place in our forwards and attacking midfield positions and yet the cupboard is pretty bare if anything should happen to either of our regulars.
I'm still not convinced that Arsene knows who his first choice keeper is either, and that's with four to pick from, not a comforting thought. I think Robert Green at West Ham would do a good job for us, and I'm sure all Gooners have their own thoughts regarding this position.
Finally, I'd like to thank Ian Tanner for his kind words regarding my last article, cheers mate.
