Finally Fergie stops the abuse... But where is this letter?

Ferguson: Will the letter suffer the same fate as the one sent by horse a few years ago?

According to Arsenal.com, Alex Ferguson has written an open letter to Man United fans (so called!) to ask them to stop with the obscene chants directed at Arsene Wenger every time the poor man steps out at Old Trafford.

Has anyone seen this letter? Has anyone got a copy for me to view? If so, I would very much like to read it.

More to the point is why it has taken ‘Sir’ so long to do this simple thing? Obviously Arsene and old red nose will never be best buddies, but we can all see the mutual respect that now exists between them, unlike Fergie and Rafa. Although the cynic in me can’t help but wonder if Fergie’s new found respect for Arsene has only developed since we stopped giving his team a really hard time every year as we did between 98 and 2004.

Will the respect disappear if we manage to sustain a title challenge this season. We seem to be keeping up the pace at present and with Utd suffering defeat at Siberia Bridge recently and Champions League progress all but assured after the 4-1 win over AZ, we will be able to concentrate fully on the Premiership for a few months.

It was also good to see Arsene and Cesc both downplaying the media hype surrounding our current good form in the aftermath of the Alkmaar win. ITV Champions League interviewers would have us all believe we are champions already, but Cesc especially, was very humble when he spoke afterwards and even a little down beat that we had let AZ score. Maybe a Certain Irishman from Sh*te Hart Lane could learn a thing or two from our skipper!
