The main gripe heard when I went to the match against Stoke last weekend was that Arsenal did not produce physically imposing players and in a sense the average height of Saturday's team did support the argument. The Keowns Adams and Vieiras helped us on those tough away days at places such as the Reebok in the middle of winter, something we may lack at the moment.
However there are a number of reasons for Arsenal fans to look forward to the game in Greece tonight as it should provide proof that the club is in fact bringing through technically gifted players, who like great sides of yesteryear are still physically imposing.
Three such players come to mind, Kyle Bartley, Emmanuel Thomas (mark my words this guy is one hell of a player - ask Blackpool fans) and Craig Eastmond. All over 6 foot and still not fully developed. The latter we have had a glimpse of already.
The key is to hope these guys have a good game as if Arsene is not going to spend in January, then if we have a defensive injury crisis (a matter of when not if actually) these players can step up.
