If we want to win the league, and I do, we have to forget the last result and concentrate on the next. Three points against Liverpool at Anfield whose home form is sh*te is no big deal really, despite them having their big names available again. Currently we're missing players and we're stretched as a squad, so despite us creeping up to third place life is still not a bowl of cherries. So we shouldn't take anything for granted.
For our next match we either will, or might be missing: Van Persie, Bendtner, Clichy, Gibbs, Eboue, Rosicky, Traore (?) & Arshavin (?). We also have, either mentally and/or physically, not quite all there: Eduardo, Vela & Walcott. And coming back from injury we have Diaby, Denilson & Wilshere, so we've certainly had stronger squads available.
We're not in killer mode right now and unbeaten Burnley's home form is fairly impressive: Mancs 1-0, Everton 1-0, Sunderland 3-1, Brum 2-1, Hull 2-0, Villa 1-1, Fulham 1-1... all of which is none too shabby. They'll be up for it big time so forget ‘Pool and concentrate on the next game - a simple rule of thumb but one well worth pursuing.
Incidentally - why no mention on TV of a very obvious offside in the build up to Liverpool's alleged penalty claim? And why no mention of their goal coming from an exceedingly soft free kick? But no matter, that game is done and dusted, the points are ours and it’s time to move on. By the way, half time bollockings do not have to be limited to once every fifth season Arsene - let's have some more please! Being nice seemingly works quite often, but then again so does being a bar steward. Just ask Fergie.
