Could Gunnersaurus lead the line better than our Great Dane?

With Bendtner’s first touch, we should not be hopeful

Bendner: Er… welcome back?

Thank the lord he has returned. After a three month absence the master of the first touch is back among us. The good news is, he can cut out all those intricate little tip tap passing movements by simply giving the ball back to the opposition when it’s his turn to tip or indeed tap.

Why on earth doesn’t someone take him to one side in training and for hours on end fire balls into his feet and teach him the art of the first touch, it would probably turn him into a reasonable footballer because at the moment his return fills me with about as much joy as paying tax.

If this forward is what Arsene is pinning his centre forward goal drought cure on, then we should not be hopeful. Gunnersaurus would do as good a job.

On the plus side a point at Villa Park was great considering Villa’s efforts. However getting into the ground 27 minutes after kick off and making it home to Cambridgeshire at 2am proves why this ground is the biggest sh**hole in the country to get to and also how bloody lucky we are to have the Grove.

Fingers crossed for tomorrow.
