Summer 2010 will be the same old story

Flamini: Surely an improvement on Denilson?

Why Is it that Wenger, even though it was clear from the United defeat that we don't have a striker, or a decent midfielder to partner Song, or most importantly a decent goalkeeper, still persisted in saying that he wouldn't sign anyone?

We all know that come the end of the season it will be the same old story. He will sign maximum one player and next year will be exactly the same as this. We will lack the quality to match Chelsea and Man Utd. It’s been the same every year since PV4 left.

I love Arsenal, I grew up and went school next to Highbury and I think it’s disgusting that Arsene Wenger is still acting like a complete f***ing k**b and saying we don't need players. Arshavin is sh*t and needs to go - he does nothing all match and occasionally pops up with a bit magic. Denilson is a pile of sh**e who does nothing - a defensive midfielder that can't tackle or outmuscle anyone.

It was evident last weekend that the main reason why we didn’t win was because there was no striker up front. It was like a team of midfielders.

Absolute crap, I've been going over Arsenal for 20+ years and can barely afford to pay the £70 a match for a ticket. Yet I go there now and there are a load of k**bs who don't even support the team.

And there are players available that would definitely improve our team - For example, Yaya Toure, Huntelaar and Flamini. All three are available.

(Ed’s note – Just received an email that reckons Arsenal were very close to a signing on Monday. Apparently it was Stoke keeper Thomas Sorensen. However the deal did not go through as the transfer of Asmir Begovic from Portsmouth to Stoke was not completed until near the transfer window deadline. May be true, may not be. Just relaying the info. Make of it what you will.)
