It’s Monaco revisited as Arsenal’s decline continues

Enough

Football’s greatest spin doctor?

It's enough now, surely? I think the performance at Blackburn on Monday afternoon was the most pathetic I've seen in the last 15 years. There was no desire, no energy, no nothing. The players have switched off, they don't care anymore. I don't accept excuses about injuries, the team we had out was still capable of getting a result.

Carlos Vela wants a chance does he? Well he gets it and what does he do? Fanny about for an hour doing the greater part of nothing. Wally Walcott? Run about, lose the ball and maybe play the odd meaningless cross. The less said about Silvestre the better. As for the goalkeeping situation it's actually becoming laughable, if Wenger really thinks we don't need a new keeper he either needs his P45 or a mental home because he's quite clearly delusional. I think the Highbury Spy is right, the players have stopped playing for him. The last month of the season has been one long nightmare and thankfully we only have one game left as either Spurs or Man City would definitely catch of us if there five or six to go.

Wenger has been allowed to run the club in his own way for far too long now. He's done exactly what he did at Monaco, destroyed a team and replaced them all with young French or African players but this isn't acceptable any longer. I'm sick and tired of paying upwards of £1,500 to watch potential because Wenger's too frightened of “killing Denilson".

I have one share in the club and I was at the AGM last October. Wenger stood up in front of us and said, "We will win a trophy this season". Not we will try, not maybe but "will". And he has failed, yet again. He is now nothing more than football's greatest spin doctor, the football version of Alastair Campbell, a decrepit individual who has outstayed his welcome and is now spouting nonsense without realising that we've all stopped listening.
