Failure in the transfer market this summer to address the team's obvious deficiencies (keeper/defence) and imbalances (not enough muscle and experience) will mean one of two things. Either Wenger has lost the plot and has taken us far as he can, just like George Graham in the mid-90's, or that the finances are really that tight. If the latter is the case then the Wenger model of developing youth is what is required to steer us though the choppy waters of stadium debt. But if the Club admitted this then the fans would understand and back him.
It's become pretty obvious that this team lacks spine, balls and passion. Losing to Sp*rs because they wanted it more was painful to watch. I hope Sol Campbell sat down with them the next day and told them exactly what the North London derby means.
Why not bring in some former players who know what the Club is all about to give these pampered kids the kick up the arse that they need. Pat Rice has been a great servant, but maybe it's time to find another role for him and give the job to Adams. Although he failed as a manager, he was very successful at Porsmouth as Redcrap's assistant. Then bring in Keown or Winterburn as defensive coach and Seaman or Lehmann to coach the keepers.
