The Gooner Survey first appeared in issue 10 of The Gooner which came out at the end of the triumphant 1988-89 season. Since then it’s been an annual tradition to ask our readers for their views on the season which has just ended, the close season to come and some general questions surrounding the running of the club, football and, of course, The Gooner itself.
This year is no different and the 2010 Gooner Survey is now open online for you to cast your votes on player of the season, goal of the season, who you would most like us to sign, as well as a wealth of other questions.
Before you click on the link below though be aware that, in Mastermind tradition, once you’ve started, you’ll need to finish because the survey software will only allow you to visit the site once. Therefore do it when you’ve got 15 minutes or so to ponder what has happened over the last nine months because some of the questions may have you trawling your memory for recollections of events as far back as Denilson’s season opener at Everton. The survey will remain open until Sunday 27th June.
Although many of the questions have suggested multiple choice answers to make collating the results a little easier for us, where appropriate there is also room for your own peculiar variations.
As an incentive, all completed surveys received with a name and contact details will be entered into a draw to win the new replica home shirt which we’re reliably informed will see a return to the traditional all white sleeves.
Results will be published in the next issue of The Gooner, scheduled to be out for the weekend of the Emirates Cup at the end of July, and will also be online shortly after that.
That’s all. What are you waiting for? Click here to start voting.
If you’d rather complete the survey offline, then the form is in the latest issue of The Gooner, available to purchase here, or email us and we’ll send you a PDF copy of it. Alternatively, you can download a pdf copy of the survey by clicking here. Might be an idea to do that before you complete it online if you reckon you’ll need some thinking time!
