File Under: Plug (Blatant)

Lindsay: Who needs Gary Lineker?

Okay, we’ve been approached by another Arsenal website for a bit of a plug, and as they were so nice about it and we quite enjoyed watching what they’ve done by way of matchday filming, we’ve relented and agreed.

Here’s what they emailed to us at Gooner Towers…

We are a group of friends who have set up a new website gunnertalk.com. Basically we go to the N5 area on match day and film the fans talking about the Gunners - cheering, moaning, gossiping, demanding transfers and generally having a good bit of banter about the relevant Arsenal issues of the day. Episode 02 ‘Spurs Halloween Horror Show’ or the current ‘Keeper Weepers episode 07’ are good examples of what we do.

Indeed they are, although it took some decent matchday weather for the first time in living memory to bring about a fresh aspect to the clips when filming was done for episode 7 before the Man City game. Yes, the good old slip the cardigan off the shoulders and expose your basque presenting technique. Maybe if Steve Rider had tried this, he wouldn’t have lost the ITV World Cup gig to Adrian Chiles. Anyhow, it works for us.

Gunnertalk will be filming once again around the stadium next season, and if the weather’s hot enough, who can predict how the lovely Lindsay will be dressed, or indeed undressed. A word of warning though. This is one lady who looks like she could drink you under the table with the vocabulary to match. Your mother warned you about such women. Which is why we probably can’t get enough…

By the way, there is more to the site than the videos, and here’s a blog entry which captures the essence of our hostess with the mostest perfectly for its mix of profanity and worthwhile opinion. Fair point at the conclusion, it must be said.
