A Gooner’s World Cup Diary - PDF download

South Africa – Exhausting but exhilarating

I have been requested by a good number of individuals to provide the mini-opus that filled many a blank day on our website this June in one downloadable document. So in response, I have put together a PDF featuring all 22 parts.

For those who haven’t a clue what I am talking about, I made a three week trip to South Africa to catch 16 matches in the flesh, at least one in every of the ten venues used. I posted the diary to give those unable to attend a flavour of what the tournament was like to attend.

Without further ado, you can download all 20 odd megabytes of it by clicking here. If your download speed is not great, then there is a version of it in zip file format available if you cllck here.

There was an element of layout involved, as I felt it would look a bit dull if it were just sheet after sheet of A4 text, hence it is slightly delayed. I wanted to make it available before the start of the season proper and the tournament is consigned to distant memory.

There’s not much more to say than that. I am pleased and pleasantly surprised that so many have expressed their enjoyment of my jottings in South Africa. For those mad fools who wish to read it again and those who tackle it for the first time, stick your feet up and get a beverage of your choosing, because this thing amounted to almost half a book by the time I’d finished!
