It would seem that Fat Sam has finally lost the plot. We have all enjoyed the bitter exchange of words between Arsene and the Bloater from the north over the years, but it now seems as though our gaffer has finally won through in his battle of words, now that Porky has launched into a “Keegan” type tirade of anti-Arsenal comments and remarks.

"I have to remind Arsene about his team, which used to win the league, that was the dirtiest team in the league. If you cast your mind back to when they were winning the league, they had more sendings-off and bookings than anyone else.”

So we are damned both ways. Now we are considered a soft touch it’s bad because the manager wants to protect our players, and when we win ugly we are a dirty bunch of hackers. The true meaning behind this further attack on all things Arsenal is probably simply due to the fact that he no longer has the “Indian sign” over Arsenal. Gone are the days when the likes of Blackburn and Bolton could foul us into losing a game to them. This team may still not be ready to win the title, but they all seem ready to fight for it, and that’s fine with me. It’s been too long since we had a good scrap at Old Trafford, or a good fisticuffs with another mob of Pie munchers from the North West. Watching Keown screaming in Van Nistelrooy’s face after the penalty miss, is to me, one of the defining images of the modern Premier League era. Passion, Pride and a “You’ll never beat me so F*** You!” attitude.

Thinking back to the days when it was Fergie v Wenger rather than Utd v Arsenal, you always knew there was a bitter rivalry, but you always knew that there was a mutual respect between the two. Fat Bastard Sam seems to be lacking any respect for anyone in football whose opinion differs from his own, and that’s why he hate’s Arsene and Arsenal so much. We have something he and all the clubs he has and ever will manage do not…
