Chelsea v Arsenal: One of early chances should have been taken

Yet again we come up short against our rivals. We’ve only won two of our last 17 games against Chelsea in all competitions when we used to beat them for fun. The problem could have been remedied in the summer for the past three years but nothing has been done & I’m getting sick of it.

How long can the boss keep feeding this bulls**t that you can win trophies with kids. It’s not working, some of the players are not "kids" anymore & we’re getting worse against the big teams – those you have to take the points in to stand a chance of winning the league. Granted we were missing Cesc, RVP & Vermaelen at Stamford Bridge but we still should have scored one of our early chances. Then the game might have been different.

It’s all well & good playing as well as we did on Sunday but you’re only remembered for winning. I know it’s still relatively early in the season but this was the second test after the Liverpool game & we failed miserably. Until big money is spent on decent players this is how it’s going to be. Yes injuries have been cruel to us over the years but we should still have enough depth in the squad to cope.

Eduardo wasn’t replaced, nor was Gallas, we didn’t get the new keeper we all craved for & we’re still missing a new "Petit & Vieira" in our midfield.

The way you have to look at it is how many of our players would get into the top teams in Europe’s starting eleven?? Cesc, yes, RVP, yes but that’s it. Both of those players are missing & we’re paying the price. In January Wenger MUST do something, but it will be hard attracting the type of players we need if we’re 30 points behind the leaders by then.
