What to say about the Chelsea game? Are we just going to end up accepting this year after year until Wenger goes? There are ALWAYS injury problems to key players, we ALWAYS lack a cutting edge in the final third against the big teams, and we ALWAYS thrash teams in the early stages of the Champions League and then have people like the guy from arseblog (who is excellent apart from this point) criticise the pundits who say the real test will come against the big teams. I agree with the pundits here.
I'm sick of lauding our potential, our young players, and our beautiful football, because we NEVER do it when it really counts. I'm totally fed up with it all to be honest, and I was totally fed up with it two years ago, I could see then, and I said then, that things weren't going to change, and I still don't see things changing. Nothing changes.
Nasri was criticised in the Chelsea home game last year for allowing Ashley Cole the freedom to run down our right unchallenged and cross in for Drogba to score. And lo and behold what happened for the first goal on Sunday. What a ****ing surprise. As Andy Gray said on Sky If Ashley can make a run down the wing like that so can Nasri. But he didn't and he won't track Ashley again when we play them at home in December. So boringly predictable.
Diaby is good occasionally but you can guarantee a stinker once every few games, followed by a period out injured. Arshavin is a lazy **** and gives the ball away too often. Clichy is just one of our young players lauded early on who is now an utter liability. Sagna has faded and is a liability too. Fabregas will be off before long. RVP is just too injury prone, a real shame but he needs to be let go. Walcott is showing promise but is massively injury prone. Of our centre backs only Vermaalen looks up to it to me. And that's without mentioning the goalkeepers.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Arsenal, and we are good enough to finish 4th and probably will. Wilshere is very exciting, and I do enjoy our football and I am thankful to Wenger for all he's done for the club, but make no mistake, under his guidance, we are winning nothing this year, and nothing next year. The man has had his time.
Let's have a team we can believe in shall we???? Everyone knew we'd lose to Chelsea. So boring to hear Wenger say we dominated possession. Look back to what people were saying after Chelsea beat us 4-1 at the E******s. Has anything really changed?
