The £100 Arsenal ticket?

AISA to campaign on revelation that VAT increase has broken the ton barrier for upper tier ticket

The £100 Arsenal ticket?

Arsenal v Spurs: Could it cost some punters £100 next season?

It was reported over the weekend of 20/21 November that the top price ‘ordinary’ ticket (i.e. upper tier, not club level) will cost over £100 in both the Daily Mail and the Guardian from January 1st for Grade A matches. This is due to the increase in VAT to 20%.

Although the media stories are in fact inaccurate (the £100 figure would only apply if there was a general sale for a Category A fixture) the Arsenal Independent Supporters Association (AISA), now back in campaigning mode after a few months of inactivity, intend to campaign on the issue of ticket prices to watch the team. Their coverage on the matter can be found here, along with a request for fans who wish to make their opinions known to the club to get in touch.
