An emotional over reaction explained

Nolan: Guilty of two pushes like Diaby, why was he on the field at the end?

I must admit I sent you an emotional over-reaction to events on Saturday. I can only say that I was absolutely gutted at the time and I lashed out. If I could take it back I would.

However, I believe there is some merit in what I said, some of the below come to mind:
a. 2-2 with 5 minutes to go at Anfield in CL quarter finals, going through and we contrive to lose.
b. 4-2 up with 2 minutes to go against Tottenham and drawing 4-4
c. 2-0 up at Wigan with 10 minutes to go and losing 3-2
d. 2-0 up at half-time at home to Tottenham and losing 3-2
e. Last Saturday

I’m sorry if the AKB’s think that is acceptable because I don’t. His press conference afterwards when he said “he wants to keep the positives” is typical of him. That means he doesn’t want to address the weaknesses, a loser attitude. Where were the leaders on Saturday?

To address a few more points.
a. Diaby was silly but Barton played him well hoping that he’d rise to the bait.
b. Kevin Nolan should have been sent off.
c. The first penalty was soft
d. The second penalty, if I’m being generous was absolutely ridiculous and if I’m being harsh I’d question how much Phil Dowd was paid.

It seems to me that Phil Dowd is more interested in his own ego than refereeing competently, but it’s gone now and we have to move on.

It's all very well laying into Wenger, but he deserves time for 2 reasons: 1. He's arguably the greatest manager the club has ever had 2. If you sack Wenger, you start a domino effect. Cesc leaves in the summer (fairly likely anyway). With those 2 gone, players like van Persie question the club's ambition. Players who have grown up alongside Wenger, like Clichy, Song etc all start having further doubts. The way we implode is completely unacceptable and the buck stops with Wenger, but getting rid of him will set us back a number of years - and with the top 4 even more competitive, it's not remotely viable. Get behind the manager, get behind the players.

Do you not think that Arsene knows best then?

There's no need for you to blog justifying your "emotional over-reaction". Points you made here are "all" accurate and well founded. I too am tired of gooners accepting Arsenal mental weakness year after year. I too am tired of listening to AW's excuses over the past 4 years. Gambling by not buying a CD back in January seems like a perfect recipe for failure of which he chose.

'It seems to me that Phil Dowd is more interested in his own ego than refereeing competently' Isn't that true of almost all refereees?
