FA Cup: Should it still be on the season ticket?

(Ed’s note. Apologies for the delay in getting this one up, but after recording three podcasts last Monday week, we found out our webmaster was on his hols and unable to do the techie stuff required to get these online sharpish. Still, there’s not much in the way of preview of Saturday’s calamity, so hopefully still an entertaining listen)

Gooner Podcast number 68, sponsored by goonershirts are now online

Recorded: Monday 7th March 2011

Topics include:
Should FA Cup home games be included on the season ticket as they are now?
The numbers that attended the Orient replay
Should those that do not bother to turn up to cup games get final tickets?
The efforts of the players at Leyton Orient
What is the point in playing Manuel Almunia in the cup when the first choice keeper is fit?
The mooted price rise in season tickets this summer
Champions League Final ticket prices at Wembley

Panel:
Kevin Whitcher
Mike Francis
Lindsay Sheehan (from Gunnertalk)
Host: David Oudot

There are three ways of hearing it. First up, online without downloading by simply clicking here. Alternatively, if you want to download it to play on your mp3 player or at your leisure on your computer, visit this page move your cursor over where it says ‘episode 68’ in red text and then…

For pc users, right click your mouse and select ‘save target as’. For mac users press ‘control’ on your keyboard and then click your mouse and select ‘download linked file’. Once it’s downloaded you can play the file using your mp3 software, and transfer it to your iPod/mp3 player.

We’ll be back with more in early April. Once again, apologies for the slight delay in getting this one available, won’t happen again (or at least not until the webmaster next goes on his hols).

To be fair, and meaning no disrespct to Alan Davies, he probably doesn't have the same pressures of holding down a full time job as Gooner podcast panellists do. There is also a cost involved in getting everyone together for these things and sadly, we don't seem to be able to attract a great deal of sponsorship. Anyone who is interested in sponsoring the podcast or advertising on the site please email me at [email protected]

Under normal circumstances, this podcast - which refers to the FA Cup - would have been up on Thursday last week (after two others on Tuesday and Wednesday). However, our webmaster was on holiday and offline, which made this impossible. Given that these are done voluntarily, doing them on a weekly basis is not really feasible.
