Just a quick message for the loyal band of readers following our scheme to make a grand out of an initial stake of £100. Although we intended to run a piece for you to lay bets on tomorrow afternoon’s game v Fulham, there is a technical issue that means the free bet with the online bookies we intended joining this weekend is not being offered.

I follow the instructions of Russell (thegamblingtimes.com) myself before posting his piece to ensure that – for us laymen – what he says makes sense and works in reality. However, this weekend, we ran into some problems.

What we intend to do – as we don’t really want to be waiting until next season continue our progress towards the grand – is continue the scheme by betting on either the Arsenal Ladies or non-Arsenal matches over the summer. So keep watching. As it stands, we will look to place a bet every weekend, so best time to check the site is probably each Friday afternoon/evening.
