Will Wolves be generous on the 27th?

Mick McCarthy: Not much of a bus parker away

Unfortunately we were right and Man City were just that little bit too strong for us last week, but at least that meant a £10.80 profit and another chunk of the wagering complete. We have bounced back against Villa in the week but the games were too close together for us to prepare a bet on it so the next up is the re-arranged Wolves match on the 27th.

The Bet365 balance is now £547 so +£347 up on our initial deposit. We have had losses at Betfair though, the Net profit to date at the advised odds and stake is +£211.8 (+£200 bonus, +£13, +£8, -£20, +£10.8)

So on the 27th at home against Wolves, we would hope to win comfortably. The odds on this are so low, around 1.25, that it would not qualify for unlocking the bonus at Bet365 and there is very little value in backing quite that low anyway. A better option for us is to bet on there being goals in the game. On the road Wolves have lost the last four games, 4-1, 3-0, 2-1, 3-1, so a bet of £100 on over 2.5 goals at 1.5 at Bet365 serves our purpose well. This can be found on half way down the regular Arsenal vs Wolves coupon, click on the small "89" button to bring that up. If it comes in that is another +£50 onto that balance.

The odds are still gappy at Betfair and may improve but as I type it is 1.6 to lay, entering just £75 "backer’s stake" on this this week has a £45 liability.

We have laid less than usual because it is nice to win at least a fiver each time, and we can afford it because even to lose £25 net we have over £200 in equity to play with still and are well into the wagering requirements to withdraw now.

Again, please note that you cannot withdraw from Bet365 until £1200 of bets have been placed, after this one we will have wagered £500 so far, with a maximum of seven left to go.
