Gooner Gambling Scheme – New Year’s Eve

QPR visit and we are backing goals again

Traore: Will his defending be true to (Arsenal) form?

Well that was a disappointing result all round, 1-1. We did not expect that and against ten men for the last ten minutes we really thought Arsenal might find the winning goal to make it 3 in the game but alas, no! We only laid £75 this time, being quite confident of goals but that has cost us. The net totals to date are now £447 in Bet365 being +£247 on our deposit. Due to the hedging at Betfair we are really only +£186.8 after this bet made -£25. Still another chunk of wagering out of the way and we have liquidity in Betfair again which is nice.

The next game is tomorrow, this time against another newly promoted team in QPR. Once again perhaps surprisingly after the Wolves result a Gunners victory is still just 1.25 and of no use to us and also not even value.

We are going to try again for over 2.5 goals for much the same reasons as before, only this time the odds are better with the bookies pricing in the fact Arsenal have now not scored 3+ since Wigan away. At Bet365 again this market, "Over 2.5 goals" can be found halfway down the regular Arsenal vs QPR coupon, click on the small "100" button to bring that up. The odds offered are 1.57 so we will place £100 on that and if it comes in that is another +£57 onto the Bet365 balance.

The odds are fluctuating at Betfair but as I type it is 1.65 to lay, so entering a £80 "backer’s stake" this time has £52 liability. (Ed’s note – When I laid this, the odds were 1.66 (in the pink box) to lay, and only some of the £80 could be matched at those odds. So I cancelled the unmatched portion of the bet and put that amount on the next available price of 1.68. The closer you can leave this until the game, the less the market will fluctuate and the more likely you are to get 1.65, but the bottom line on this is that the amount does not matter that much, it is extracting the £200 bet365 bonus over the 12 weeks or earlier that is our main concern, so we are placing bets that will not win or lose us a fortune to extract the £200 bonus as profit. That’s close to £17 a week for ten minutes’ work once every seven days – nice work if you can get it!)

So this week again if it comes in we will make a fiver, or lose just £20 this time with the wagering almost half way and actually the chance of a "bust out" next time around. We will sort that out if/when it happens.

Again, please note that you cannot withdraw from Bet365 until £1200 of bets have been placed, after this one we will have wagered £600 so far, with a maximum of six left to go.

Remember, "Why gamble when you can win".
