Okay, we here at Gooner Towers, occasionally being a charitable bunch, have been asked to plug this season’s sponsored ten circuits of Arsenal’s Stadium by our good friends at the Arsenal Independent Supporters Association (or AISA for those who fancy less of a mouthful).
As traditional, the event is to raise funds for Arsenal’s nominated charity of the season, which is Save the Children this time round. Basically, ‘Be A Gunner, Be A Runner’ means you getting sponsored to do the 6.4 kilometres (a little over 4 miles, I think) and turning up on the day to put in the not so hard yards. Frankly, you can do that distance in an hour of brisk walking, and if you are feeling warmed up, you’ll have plenty of time to walk the 7 odd miles to Loftus Road for Arsenal’s 3pm kick off v QPR on the afternoon of the run.
So if you’ve nothing down for the morning of 31st March and can get to Arsenal’s Stadium for 9.30am, raise some money for a good cause. Full details and a downloadable application form can be found here
