Well it seems a long time ago now but before the two recent "Cup" performances we did actually beat Sunderland the first time we played them on the 11th in the League. That 2-1 win has put our balance at GunnersGaming onto £105 and we conveniantly have to place £100+ to withdraw our balance, so we shall be having another bet this weekend to do that. We had missed the two cup games because the odds were so far out of line as to make it uneconomical to do so.
This weekend’s game shall be against a Spurs team who don’t like travelling away as the goalless draw to Stevenage showed. Arsenal will be at home and looking to get Wenger up off his "career low" and a derby day victory would certainly do just that. Arsenal to win the fixture are 2.5 making them slight favourites, placing the balance (£105) on that at GunnersGaming will make £157.50 profit on the bet, returning a balance of £262.50 if it comes in. (Ed’s note - It will say, available to bet £55 at the top right of the page but ignore that, you can place the £105, as I discovered when I tried.) We deposited £25 in the first place so the total profit is £237.50. To find the match it’s simply "Football", then "England", then "FA Premier League", then it is top game on Sunday.
At Betfair to hedge this for a no lose profit, we will lay (pink button!) £100 worth at 2.58 which has a £158 liability. Submitting that means overall if Arsenal win we have +£237.50 at GunnersGaming but lose £47.20 and £158 at Betfair achieving it, so that’s +£32.30 overall. OR Arsenal don’t get the win will be +£100 (-comm) at Betfair but we lost -£47.20 first week at Betfair and put £25 into GunnersGaming, so it is +£27ish
We really think it could go either way, which is why there is not much difference in the results in terms of profits to us. What is important here for this bet is to take us over the required wagering and be able to bank another profit, and we are putting the total scheme into +£500 made to date.
Remember, why gamble when you can win!
